Londra’da bulunan motion graphics stüdyosu SR Partners’ın küratörlüğünde yapılan Resonance, 30′dan fazla bağımsız tasarımcı ve ses tasarımı/stüdyosunun işbirliği ile oluşturulan bir proje. Aralarında Tronic Studio, Mate Steinforth Onur Şentürk, Murat Pak gibi stüdyo ve tasarımcıların olduğu projenin amacı geometri ve sesin özgün yollarla ilişkisini keşfetmek.

SR Partners is a motion graphics studio based in London. SR endeavours to bring together the most acclaimed visual and audio artists from around the World to create bespoke and groundbreaking productions. Resonance is the vision of SR Partners; a collaborative project with over 30 independent visual and audio designers/studios. The aim was to explore the relationship between geometry and audio in unique ways.

Süperfad’in Nando Costa’nın yönetimindeki son kısa filmi; bilim, matematik ve müzik arasındaki bağlantıları araştırıyor. Müziği notalara dökmeyi çizimlerle ifade eden sanatçı, bu yolculukta sesleri stilize manzaralarda salınırken gösteriyor. Bu çizimler müzik aletlerine dönüşürken, ıssız doğadaki çevre elemanları sürekli farklı şekillerde tepki veriyorlar. Filmin yapısı, rotayı elektronikle değiştirilmiş klasik enstrümanlardan oluşan özellikleri ile World Gang müzik kompozisyonu ile tanımlanıyor. Bu filmin videosundaki soyutluk, sıkı çalışma ve gayretle, hem hayali işlerle meşgul hem de geleneklerindeki köklülüğü deneyimlerle birleştiriyor.

Süperfad’s latest short film, directed by Nando Costa, explores the connections between science, mathematics and music. Drawings representing a musical score are released into stylized landscapes that illustrate conditions through which sounds travel. These drawn representations react in different ways when traveling through the desolate landscapes, transforming into impossible musical instruments and altering elements in the environment along the way. The film’s structure is defined by World Gang’s music composition, which features classic instruments altered electronically to create the track. Working in a push and pull relationship, the film’s video and audio abstractions unite in an experience that is both otherworldly and rooted in tradition.

“The Node” is a project of time-image represented as pixels, which is connected to its reinterpretations done by various frequency artists. “The Node” should be considered as a virtual installation including a collection of recurrences. Jesse Kanda‘nın birkaç animasyon tekniğiyle yarattığı deneysel kısa filmi Waking From A Coma’da renk olarak sadece kırmızı kullanılmış. Ses tasarımıyla birlikte iyi bir video art olmuş.

Performans, direkt olarak site hayatını anlatmaktan ziyade oradaki yaşantının gerisinde kalan klişelere odaklandı. Hikayeyi, yaşam enerjisini ve binalar arasındaki bağların soyutlamalarıyla görselleştirildi. Performansın gerçekleştiği mekanda duvarlar / sahne arkası / sahne üstü ve sahnedeki 1/50 ölçekli maketler üzerinde çalışıldı. 5 farklı yüzey, birbirinden bağımsız olarak map’lenerek senkronize oynatıldı.

Gated communities are accepted fictional living forms of the big cities. Most of the families want to live in a secure and well-prepared constructions with active social possibilities. The construction have also been designed for new communication ways and privacy limits of the visitors. Technologies and eco-friendly approaches in daily architectural visions direct urban planners to add really simple and effective designs on whole area. Taking all this into consideration; gated communities convert all this parameters into a reliable social networks with a specific design path. NARKULE is located at the top of Narcity, which is designed by Nevzat Sayın. Their first public housing project has a major public building now. Story of our performance is built on facts behind the curtain, such as energy of life and abstract links of the buildings. We covered walls / stage floor / stage background to project our visuals on it. NARKULE, its trade center and C Block of Narcity built by architects as a 1/50 models. We synchronized and projected our visuals on independently mapped 5 different surfaces at the same time.

Dün Pera Müzesi’ndeki Japonya Medya Sanatları Festivali’nde gözüm kulağım açık bir şekilde dinlediğim performans sanatçısı Japon Ei Wada’nın mutlaka görmeniz gereken performansı. Oditoryumda sergilediği ve televizyon ekranlarının titreşimlerini kullanarak performe ettiği bu gösterisinde, anten olarak ellerini, perküsyon ve ışık birleştiricisi için de VCR’ı kullanarak tüplü televizyonların ışığını sese dönüştürebiliyor. Bu harika performansı kaçırmayın.

Japanese experimental artist Ei Wada breathes new life into old TV picture tubes. He utilizes their electromagnetic properties to transform light into sound and back again. When he touches the screens, this triggers a fascinating audio & video performance in which his hands and his whole body serve as pseudo-antennas. The old-fashioned picture tube TVs and a video recorder become percussion instruments, light synthesizer and VJ/DJ equipment all rolled into one. Thus, devices that have lost their original function can be used in a new way.

Köln’de bulunan tasarım ajansı Grosse8 ve Lichtfront’un Ocak 2010′da sundukları “Augmented Sculpture” çalışması. 2,5m yüksekliğindeki tahta heykele, 360ºlik projeksiyonla sanal görüntü verilmiş.

In January 2010 the Cologne based design agencies Grosse8 and Lichtfront presented their cross-media installation “Augmented Sculpture” for the first time to a public audience. The core of the installation is a 2,5m tall wooden sculpture that builds the screen for a 360° projection with virtual content. (Thanks Svenja.)
